S1: Free From Contempt & Listening (3 Cups)

To find out what it means to be free from contempt, the Secondary 1 youths watched a video that highlighted the importance of ‘Don’t judge a book by its cover’, followed by a short discussion of how students typically judge teachers. They have learnt the faults of having contempt when listening and the importance of respecting the teachings.

After learning how we should listen to our teachers, how can we be a good listener? The youths watched a funny video about listening, followed by 2 mini games to put their listening skills to a test. They were introduced to 3 common faults in listening and the remedies which can help them listen better. To let the youths have a better understanding, we shared a short video clip and let them identify the faults they saw.
