IDEA #4 - THINK OF EARNEST PRACTICE AS THE WAY TO CURE OUR AFFLICTION

After Omni youths learned to acknowledge the mental affliction that existed in their mind, we shared with them in a fun way through a comic strip of a dentist visit by two youths to let them understand that even though they have the medicine to cure their sufferings they cannot get well unless they take the medicine as instructed.

To encourage the youth to practise the things that they learned from Dharma, we played a Bingo game to let them reflect if they have been practicing it in their daily lives. The results was fantastic as most of them were able to get bingo in a short time.

We look forward to seeing the youth in our coming session to explore further on the last part of Listening.

OMNI

Omni was launched in 2020. Its name is derived from the six-syllable mantra, “OM Ma NI Padme Hum,” and signifies one who is omniscient and knows literally everything, just like the Buddha. Adrian, Brian, Chieng Yee, Hiuyan, Liang See, Jasmine, Rachel, Richard and Xiu Jian guide the class, which comprises a group of secondary school students, along on their journey to great wisdom and compassion.
