S1-4: August Games Session

On Sunday, the Omni Youths gathered at BW Monastery for our August Games Session. Before we started the games, the youths were briefed and divided into 4 different teams.

In the final objective, every team will be tasked to build a Buddha Stupa. However to obtain the building materials, all the team members will need to get them through two challenges.

The first challenge is called ‘Flip the cup then move forward‘ where the goal is to move the Big Cup past the opposite side by flipping their Small Cup upside down with their hands.

The second challenge ‘Memory Match’ tests the group’s memory and the team must match identical pairs of cards together as quickly as possible.

After completing each challenge, teams are able to choose building material based on the points they achieved. The building materials that each team gets from the challenges will give them an upper hand for building the Buddha Stupa.

The youths were also taught about Stupa and the merits gained from building a Buddha Stupa.

After 15 minutes of building the Buddha Stupa, all the teams managed to construct their own unique Stupa for the Mandala Offering. After a voting session, Group 4 (bottom left photo) won the Building Buddha Stupa Challenge based on height of Stupa and creativity. Congratulations!

This concluded our August Games Session, we hope that the youths have enjoyed the interactions and team games. It was great to see everyone again!
