Sec 1: Filial Piety (Part 1)

We began the session by asking the Secondary 1 youths a question on Word Cloud - What is filial piety to you? Their replies include ‘respecting elders’, ‘grateful’ and ‘taking care of parents’.

In the next part, we began reading them the first part of “The Buddha’s Teaching On The Difficulty In Repaying The Deep Kindness Of Parents (Filial Piety Sutra)”. While listening to the story, the youths had to answer questions through Zoom Polling. They also watched a video about ‘Childbirth Pain Simulator’ that simulates how women go through labour pain. Before we end, we conducted a Padlet sharing session that allows the youths to OMAK their mothers.

We hope that through this session, the youths are aware of the love and kindness from their mothers and hope to repay their virtuous kindness in the present and future.
