Developing a true sense of regret

The youth class 16Z051Y was honoured to have Venerable Zu Dao as their guest for class on Monday. Under the Venerable's guidance and with great respect, the youths took refuge by chanting the 35 Buddhas Repentance in English.

It was an eye-opener for many from the class because it was their first time chanting the repentance in English! One of the youths shared her reflection that the practice of the 35 Buddhas Repentance not only clears negative karma and afflictions, but also helps in the practice of mindfulness.

With strong faith, the class supplicated for the world’s suffering to be alleviated soon and sent best wishes to their beloved family and loved ones.

Things might be different after this circuit breaker, but they are looking forward to the day that classes can be conducted at the monastery premises again.

Class I

Class I is the longest-running youth class in BW Monastery, having launched in 2009. Under the guidance of Jennifer and Sebastian, many of its members have grown to become youth leaders across the monastery, realising their aspirations to follow in the footsteps of great sages from the past.
