It is already our third year in the Wisdom Youthnited family! And the youth leaders of 19G004Y had planned a special lesson as part of the Mid-Autumn Tea Gathering this year.

The leaders set out early in the day to deliver carefully prepared mid-autumn packages personally to the students’ houses. It contained a lantern, packet tea and cakes! Yum! These were all in place for mandala offerings in class.

We were graced with the presence of a rare and special guest, Venerable Ruquan. He gave an insightful discourse for our direction and goals in life as Buddhist youths. And as a class, we made aspirations to Venerable Ruquan, Master Ri Chang and Teacher Zhen Ru for the class and future students.

An annual Mid-Autumn Tea Gathering tradition, we concluded with sharings of dharma learning journey thus far and their growth as a Buddhist youth. Blessed that there were also many positive experiences and changes all around.

To top it off, our Youth Department and Venerable Jon were present as well. With their added care and encouragement. We were ever so blessed and grateful, with hopes that we can contribute to the team in our own ways as well.

Class V

Class V is the first of a new generation of youth classes launched in 2019. The launch of this class marked the start of a new chapter for the youth community at BW Monastery and is representative of our continuing efforts to improve with the trends and new models of communication that work for youths. It also boasts the largest pool of youth facilitators, with Joshua, Larry, Jing Kai, Han Ya, Wei Zhen, Celestine, Hui Fen and Shu Qin at the helm.
